North Sikkim (Days 3–5)
The road to Lachung (about 2,700 m) passes Seven Sisters Falls and Naga Falls. Yumthang, the “Valley of Flowers”, blooms with rhododendrons in April–May; Zero Point (around 4,700 m) is snow-covered most of the year. North Sikkim needs a separate permit and stays are usually on meal-included basis.
South & West Sikkim (Days 6–7)
Visit Buddha Park in Ravangla and Char Dham/Samdruptse in Namchi en route to Pelling. Next day explore the best places to visit in Pelling, including the Skywalk.
Darjeeling (Days 8–10)
Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop, HMI, tea gardens and the toy train. See our Darjeeling tour package guide.

What Most 10-Day Itineraries Don’t Mention
- North Sikkim road status: Lachung/Lachen routes may close after landslides; always keep a backup plan (e.g., extra Pelling or Ravangla night).
- Zero Point: Extra cost, weather-dependent and very cold – carry thermals.
- Long driving days: Day 3 and Day 8 are 6–7 hours; carry snacks and motion-sickness tablets.
- Altitude order: We go up gradually (Gangtok → Tsomgo → Lachung) to help acclimatisation.
- Permits: North Sikkim and Tsomgo need separate permits – see our Sikkim permit guide.
